Google Maps Now Has the Updated Satellite Imagery

That was fast! Via Google Maps Mania I read that Google Maps now has the same new satellite imagery that I mentioned before. Wheee!
Hmmm… my U.P. Diliman Mashup (blog post here) is off by about 20–50 meters. Well, it was a nice try. I’ll try to realign my B&W aerial photo so that we can see which buildings were put up since that time. And I still plan to do a vector map version so that the U.P. map can be useful.
To whet your appetite in exploring the new high-resolution photos (at least for those who don’t have Google Earth), here’s Enchanted Kingdom, NAIA Centennial Terminal, and my house.

Hi,
glad to find another Google Earth junkie. We’ve set up a wiki for all things Google Earth Philippines (googleearthphilippines.pbwiki.com) and would love to display your map showing areas with high res imagery in the philippines in the wiki. (where did you get it?)
do pay us a visit.

-btw, we’ve also set up a blog for suggestions for makeovers for metro manila at mmmakeover.blogspot.com
