Hed Kandi @ PTTC

2:31 am PHT

I wanna go to Big Fish Manila’s Hed Kandi Disco Heaven 2005. It’s happening tonight, September 17, at the Philippine Trade Training Center along Roxas Blvd.

I mentioned before that I couldn’t go to the first Hed Kandi event in the Philippines this year since it was in Boracay. But it seems I couldn’t go here either since the ticket is a bit too expensive for me (600 pesos), and I have no friend to join me (you really don’t go to these types of events alone).

on Fade—Solu Music: its a very intoxicating song. You should listen to its other remixes.

on Pink Life—Gyrskard: very nice, but its gonna go berserk like Ever After….but still nice, just dont let hear it in malls….

on Disco Heaven—Disco Kandi: a little too funky for me….but cant believe i also missed out on this event. I went to God’s Kitchen a few weeks back, satyed for 30 minutes and left…so much for my 600 bucks..

you’ve got nice taste, hope we can trade info’s too;) just leave a message at my blogspot;)

Marjoe, yeah, you’re that house music affoicionado. =D

Yeah, I’m actually listening to the Eric Kupper remixes of “Fade.” And funnily, I’m thinking that “Pink Life” should be the next mainstream house music song after “Ever After.” Diba? Hehehe.

okidoks… will look it up.

here’s some of my recent favorites, which i’m sure is not in any hed kandi compilation, so there’s a chance you might not know them:

Planet Funk - Chase The Sun

DJ Sammy - Sunlight

“Sunlight” I only heard recently but I’ve heard “Chase The Sun” last year pa, although I only knew what song it was only last week. :)

Tracks from his first album were really of MASSIVE SYNTHS, which makes him stand out among commercial cheese trance themed albums/artists. Bossa Nova mix of Sunlight is loungy, check it out! “WHY” is I think his latest—another BEAT-BANGED remake like Boys of Summer(Don Henly) and Heaven(B. Adams).

Haven’t you noticed? A lot of 80’s pop rock tracks are being recycled.

1. Owner of a Lonely Heart—Max Graham 2. Star to Fall (has samples of Waiting for a Star to Fall from Boy meets Girl-I LUV THIS)-Cabin Crew 3. Out of touch-Uniting Nations

Flashdance … omigod. I still have a cassette copy of the soundtrack c/o my Aunt from Canada when she spent her summer vacation with us during my grade school days!

My mom? She loves “Romeo” by Donna Summer ("My Romeo, oh ohhh oh oh ohhhh”) :D and the instrumental track “Love Theme”.

Geees … “Flashdance, Manhunt, Maniac, Romeo” are sewwwwwwwwww GAY DISCO sounding. :D

Deep Dish’s hit I think has sample of “He’s a Dream” from that movie. Mmmm … not sure really.
